Well, I admit to some "spirited" driving, but it seesm that no matter what I do, the rear tires just don't last. My first set of Pirelli P-Zeros were worn nearly bald at 20K miles. I babied the Michelin Primacy replacements and they lasted...well, 20K miles. So I am "enjoying" the new Michelin Pilot AS3's. Is suspect I'll get...well, 20K miles out of them

I will have to rely on someone to maintain the car, I'm a little past crawling around under cars. I've heard about "dealer" prices, I have a mechanic that has done other work for me, that was satisfactory, I had figured on asking him if he can work on MB's.
Just a thought, are you guys sure it's the car that's eating the tires, or could it be the Drivers?? Ha Ha
Speaking of tires, which brand seems to be the best?
its probably both! On my CLK320 I used to go thru tires every 15-20k miles but they were very soft Michelin's - LOL

Michelin just came out with some really good DD performance tires - Michelin PS A/S 3's - they have a 45k mile warranty on them and the price isn't bad either

Keep in mind that Michelin's warranty is cut in half when you can't rotate the tires due to a staggered width setup as on the CLK. So the 40K warranty on the Primacy iss 20K, and so the AS3's will be 22.5K miles.
