2013 E 350 with Cabriolet 2500 miles has a constant 'ticking' noise. I thought it was coming from the fan belt but the service rep say's it is the 'fuel injector'. Adding that he has had many complaints but MB has no fix. Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated. Great car but this is really annoying.

Is this 2013 GLK350? There is no such thing as a 2013 CLK - they ended production of it with MY2009, then re-slotted it as the "E-Class Coupe". You might want to check the X204/GLK forum for better info.. I believe the 2013 GLK has a direct-injected engine, and those will be a little noisier than the traditional "above the valve" injectors.

Ah, OK, an A207. I believe it also has the direct-injected engine. They do make more noise.

Does the ticking noise vary with the engine rpm? If not, maybe it is the valve opening and closing that returns the trapped fuel vapors in the carbon canister. The name of that valve escapes me, sorry.
