Facelifted E Coupe
I posted this thread here because I like to know the opinions of w209 owners.
I saw a 2014 E-Coupe on the street yesterday and I found it to look differently. I googled it and found MB did a facelift to it. I saw the car in the stop light and the car looked a lot better than the older E Coupe.
My 2004 CLK320 is in great condition but it is getting old. I have to decide on a C Coupe (no news yet of the new design) or E Coupe probably next year.

I noticed too that some E coupes I've seen look better/athletic. But, I would wait for the E400 or an AMG version of the same. The size of the 400 moves toward that of the CLK.

My CLK320 is a daily commute and the current 215HP is Ok for me. I understand the E350 has similar gas mileage as my CLK320 but with 302HP.
After 10 years of ownership, my car is still in excellent condition, both in appearance and drivability. So, I am very impressed with MB technology. I am looking for a plan B in case of some expensive repairs.
All Es are either RWD or 4matic.

2008 CLK 550 Cabriolet
My wife has fallen in love with a 2014 E350 Cab at a dealership nearby and I can understand why. They are an entirely different level when it comes to options/features/convenience when compared to the CLK. They also have a slightly firmer ride compared to the CLK which I like. The coupe and cab are very nice cars, have a feeling my wife may pull the trigger on one soon.

I would have loved to seen an E-class AMG coupe. Even Mercedes admits they screwed up by not making an AMG model and I think they have plans for an E coupe AMG. Hopefully they do make it.

Loving the E's lately! Some guy in my parking lot got a white on red, and it is stunning. Another one I saw running around has this interior, and I simply can't get over how awesome it is!!!

I am not so much into the new features or options. I want a car which looks classy and elegant (like a CLK) and drives well on the road (like a CLK).
I never thought of myself owing a car for 10 years but it drives so good that I always see no reason to change. However, I do need a plan B!

The heavily facelifted E Coupe & Cab are great. A big improvement. I've only driven the E400 twin turbo Cab & it was very pleasant.

Now I know why I like the new E Coupe that I saw the other day.
The car was black and the 2 air dams under the headlights were not too obvious. IMO. if the car is of different color, these 2 air dams will be too much "in your face"!

The pre facelift E Coupe was what persuaded me to buy one of the last CLK's built ~ thoroughly sorted pretty car. The first E Coupe was fugly.

Very nice, wish they would come in 4 matic! Would sell my CLK and current E in a heartbeat!! Better yet, wish they would come in a hardtop convertable, like the SL and SLK....and of course the new 4 series bimmer..although their cab only comes with the smaller 240hp in awd....sweet looking car tho...
