2003 CLK320
new bumper and headlights!

Hey,

I have been scavenging through the forum threads for days now just getting acquainted with the car. I very recently got a totaled out 2003 clk320 that I'm finishing up putting together. The car was absolutely flawless everywhere except the front. Engine was untouched (thankfully) and all that was destroyed was basically everything in-front of the engine (tie bars, headlights, and such) and the hood. I just finished putting it back together and have a couple of clarification questions.

I need new bumper cover and was wondering if the CLK63 bumper fits the 2003 Clk320 and what would I need to buy in addition to the bumper to get it to fit? Everything but the headlights will be stock on the car and I was not the biggest fan of the stock 320 bumper...

Also if anyone has had experience with aftermarket bumper covers or knows where to get OEM ones for cheap I'd appreciate the help.

Anyone know anything about this seller from Poland? http://www.ebay.com/itm/MERCEDES-BEZN-CLK-2002-2009-W209-Front-Bumper-AMG-W204-LOOK-/181624838365?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a49af18dd&vxp=mtr

Thanks

I can't say anything bout your seller, but I can tell you that all of the W209 bumpers are bolt-on. You will need all the parts, including inserts, grilles, fog lights, etc. as those are not interchangeable.

I assumed I'd need the grilles as they come with the bumper but I'm more concerned with need to get a new support bar, impact foam, and the plastic casing that goes on the inside of the bumper. If I don't need to get all those things then I really would like to get something that appears more aggression than the stock 320 bumper cover.

You do not need a new metal "inner bumper", but you do need all the foam and plastic parts behind the outer cover.

I've got all the stuff behind the outer cover and foam absorbers from the stock 03 320 bumper would that fit?

I doubt it - the parts mold right to the shape, and the bumpers have different shapes.

Sounds good, I'll take note having to buy the whole assembly when I get one...
