2003 clk 430 hydraulic fluid?
Hi All, Having problems with the top not going up or down. I'll post more of symptoms later. For now I want to check the hydraulic fluid and can't find the reservoir. Looking under the hood and can't find it? Hopefully just low on fluid and I read here it will pump all day and won't work if it's low.
Again it's a 2003 with the manual front top latch.
Thanks, Jack

If you have a 430, then you have a W208 and should post in that forum. But I feel certain your fluid reservoir is behind a side panel in the trunk like on the W209.

Here are the approved fluids:

I also understand that Pentosin CHF 11s can be used. It is normally used for power steering fluid and often available on the shelf at retail auto parts stores. It's green, and stinks (like burned diesel fuel), so if you have a leak, it's harder to clean up.
