Performance Oriented Pads and Rotors
My two piston 2009 CLK 350 has warped rotors on the front. Not sure if the pads are stock but stopping power is lacking. I've searched and am having a had time finding a decent pad with serious stopping power. I could care less about brake dust, I'll wash the car daily if I have to, this thing just needs some fade free brakes for some spirited driving. What pads and rotors do you guys recommend and where can I find them?

I use EBC yellow. I've used them for a couple years and I'm pleased with them. I've had a few panic stops and have used them heavily on some twisting roads over that time. They do make dust, but one deer and I are glad they can hustle a car to a stop. I've not noted any fade in my use of them.
Several members prefer OEM or Porterfield. EBC site can help you locate a distributor.

Check out R1 Concepts. They're vendors on this forums. I have their rotors and good quality units.

Check out StopTech rotors. They offer same-size rotors with slotted, drilled or slotted and drilled for better performance. The best performing is slotted wjth RBF60) brake fluid with stainless steel brake lines.

Got the pads, rotors and lines installed over the weekend. Still breaking them in but so far nice and quiet. I can't believe the stupid government banned ATE super blue, makes it darn hard to bleed brakes now. I'd highly recommend Kevin and R1 Concepts.

Are the rotors slotted, drilled, etc.?
Have you noticed an increase in performance? I'm looking to upgrade my brakes (starting to make a lot of noise, need new pads and rotors soon).

Drilled rotors, nice black coating on the hub and edges. I've been breaking them in carefully following EBC's suggestions so I have not had a chance to use them hard yet but they do seem grippy . They do dust so keep that in mine, but so far quiet. Also they do work well cold, something my Hawk pads didn't do.

I have those on mine, too (Porterfield pads). Put them on last December. I have been very happy with them until about a week or two ago. I noticed that during high speed stops (over 80mph), even under gentl braking, I get a lot of vibration. And the vibration continues during subsequent low speed stops until they cool down. Stopping from speeds over 100mpg is downright scary now.
I keep thinking I'll contact the guys at Frozen to see if they have any suggestions, but I haven't done so yet.

I have a rear Power Stop rotor on my Trans Am that will start making a scraping noise when it gets hot, I think it distorts and the parking brake shoe starts to rub. When it cools down it quits.
