CLK 500 black series body kit project

So, my 500 is now in the body shop having the kit fitted and painted, it's having a full respray so I don't end up with new paint next to weathered paint, would most likely look a bit strange when finished.
I've read on here, and gone over it a couple of times now, Overdrive's build, I've currently got 19" wheels, but the body shop say that even with coilovers lowering the car, it will still likely look strange because the wheels will look small, I'm hoping just a higher profile tyre will sort that, otherwise that's quite a disappointment (yes I should have waited until the kit was on before buying wheels) I'm waiting for all the bits to be on and lowered down, that way I can measure how much it needs lowering by, and what spacers it needs (can get up to 60mm from H&R for the rears, no problem, but they only go up to 30mm for the fronts..)
Anyway, went to see how it's going today, some pics.

When it's finished in the body shop, it's off for the exhaust twinning with quad tips.
Thanks for looking

The in progress work looks super....... I'll definitely be looking for the end product.

Thanks, I'm particularly pleased with the shut lines as well, they said the material is top quality, but the fitment wasn't as straightforward as it should have ideally been.

Can you tell us more about the kit, brand/price/etc? Looks great, there is a pretty epic video on YouTube of some really talented guys in Europe that did one and it came out absolutely sick. You're going to have to cut up your quarter panels next huh?

Quarters done

The kit was from someone on fleabay called "exclusive_black_edition" for £1,500 best price I've ever seen, less than half the price of the prior design one. The body shop is only charging £1,580 to fit the kit and full respray! That's with me going in and helping doing bits (which I'm pleased to be doing anyway) so far, the work is looking absolutely fantastic.

Update, went for a marmite kind of look with the o/s arch, could have just cut the petrol cap down, but went for a look like the rocket bunny kit arch, preparing for people not to like it, but I do.

The arches are seamless, really pleased with the work so far.

Looks like it's coming out great. The body shop seems to be doing a great job.

Build looks amazing. What are you doing about wheels? Maybe HRE or ADV.1's?

Thanks
Seriously like the HRE wheels, they may happen once the bank account catches it's breath, these are what it's got at the moment, but I've got a feeling they won't be on long.

These turned up today:

They use the existing OEM tops, it seems like it will be a case of removing the OEM strut, compressing the spring and removing the top, then putting the tops on these, refitting in opposite manner, or am I missing something?
Thanks

That's awesome. The exhaust sounds PERFECT. Did you remove just the exhaust or the resonator and cats as well? Please give me exact specifics as this has the perfect sound. I'm building a very similar clk 500 and even ordered the body kit from the same company. Try to post as many pics and vids as you can buck it keeps me motivated and of course looks sick! Thanks, mate

Thanks for the compliments, resonator removed and straight pipe in place, first and secondary cats are still on, until maybe I get Kleemann headers on.
Basically from the secondary cats back it's straight pipes, the right hand side going round the spare wheel well, then the tips welded on the ends.
Has your kit arrived?

Anyone know how the Kleemann headers install works? The cats get deleted, so do the O2 sensors as well? Or do they need installing on the new pipe? Is the CEL avoided/deleted with a normal scanning tool, never to reappear?
Anyone had it done?
