How to route a wire from trunk to dashboard ?

Hi. I bought a Pyle rear view camera. Will report back on how that works out. That said, i think the hardest part will be routing the wire from the trunk to the dashboard. Anyone do that before?

Once you remove the liner in the trunk you can see where wire bundles already run from the trunk to the front.

When I did this some time ago, I only had to raise the rear seat bottom and find where OE wires are coming from the trunk.

You can now deviate from the OE wire path and run your wires under the plastic molding overlapping the carpet.

This will get you to the foot wells under the dash. Since my project terminated under the steering wheel that is as far as I've gone.

I can't help you on getting into the dash.

You can buy a 3-4 ft rod used for fishing wires between finished walls. Run the rod along the OE wire path. Tie/tape your wires to the end and just pull the wires through from the trunk to the cabin area.

I just did this exact thing. Except I’m mounting my amp in the trunk and need to run my speaker wire into the cabin. Forget the passenger side conduit. I gave up on that side. Too crowded. I then ran a coat hanger from the inside of the cabin behind the drivers seat.... through the trunk conduit. Took me quite a few tries to get the wire to line up and go through. Would’ve been so much easier if I had a second person to help.
