My friend who we sold our 2005 clk320 to brought it over last week to get the oil changed. I checked the odo and it's at 148,000 miles.
w209 really does seem to be a nice/quality platform! I miss not having it at times.

For those with the higher mileage cars , what kind of repair issues have you had to address other than the expected wear and tear items? My 09 550 cabrio has only 32K but I am planning on keeping it for the long term as the latest cabrio from MB do not appeal to me other than the S class and I do not have a spare $150K hanging around.

This may sound excessive but for a 12-year old car, it's really not since the car is in perfect shape and drives like new. That's how I treat all my cars.

Sadly my dear 2007 W209 developed transmission issues at 139,500 miles. My trusted mechanic who stood to make some money by doing the job told me frankly "Time to trade it in. . . "
So last week I traded my CLK for a loaded CPO W204 (C350 302 hp/6500 rpm) with 30,320 miles.
I bid adieu to my friends here on the W209 forum and thank everyone for all their help

My 2003 CLK 200K has just rolled over 151,000miles. Does not miss a beat, use any fluids or burn a drop of oil. Engine and gearbox (6 speed manual....real men use three pedals!!) never been apart. The cars has never had anything but service parts and brakes.....not so much as a sensor. Even the exhaust is original. Not bad for a little supercharged 1.8!
.....obviously I've now cursed the car and will be lucky to make it to the end of the street!!!
