Phone Question

Hello fellow members.

I just bought a beautiful clk350 (2006).

I searched and searched in regards to the phone option on the w209, and as to my understanding, I should have the BT unit (or plug adaptor) in my armrest or not, if not, I have to wire the entire car for this setup.

Well, there is nothing in my armrest, I bought the car from a gentleman that bought it new, and he swears that he ordered it with phone preparation.

I searched the VIN number and also received the "window sticker" from the original owner, and see that the vehicle has: "Prewired for optional Cell Phone Integration Kit" (this is stated on the original window sticker that was delivered with the vehicle).

My question is, if it's "pre-wired" but I don't have the connector in the armrest, do I need to wire/install anything else, or do I just need to buy the armrest connector and BT adapter?

When i toggle through the dash menu, and click on phone, it says "not installed"

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Its prewired - there are wires behind a little panel door. But that gets you about 2% to where you need to be. There are quite a few threads on this. You are about $800 short on the parts needed if you want to use the factory set up. CLKs with full factory set up are not all that common.

I have the contact plate you are looking for. After that you need the BT puck, the BT module in the back and a bit of fiber optic wire.
Pm me.
