2005 clk320 gas pedal problems
A few months ago the gas pedal stopped responding and Rodney sent me the process for resycning? the pedal to the engine. This worked great until yesterday. I redid the process and it worked but now the engine stumbles very badly sometimes at stoplights. I put it in neutral and it goes away but comes back a few lights later. I checked the air filters 2 days ago. Could I have screwed something up when I did that or is it just a coinicdence? I'm not getting any trouble lights.

Make sure that the engine cover (i.e. air filter housing) is securely seated against the gasket on the top opening of the MAf sensor. Also make sure that gasket is in good condition. This is often the result of an air leak "downstream" of the air filters.

Thanks. I checked the air filter shroud and may have been loose in the rear. I reinstalled it and will take a drive tomorrow. It did completely stall out today while my wife was driving it.
