I haven't really driven it. We did get it installed. But the car was in the body shop previously. When installing the bar among doing some other stuff i noticed some stuff on the paint job i didn't like. So the car went straight back to the body shop.

I haven't installed mine yet, but I think the head of the bolt and washers go into the hole, the brace fits over the bolt shaft, then washer and nut.
When I install mine I plan to put the ground wire atop of the brace. Will also see what Jhanson25 does with the ground and the fuse box cover on the drivers side (I plan to cut a triangular piece from mine).
Also, I don't know that it is required but I plan to use a jumper when I disconnect the ground so that the electrical system does not lose ground while I install the brace.

very interesting, I'd like to know what material (steel type or deisgnation ) are they made of exactly and can they be fitted to a C63 w204. Thanks.
p.s. I have another thread and supplier already lined up for some amazing chromoly bars but just need someone to bring their car over there in west palm beach FLA as I am located in montreal, canada.

Old thread and the only one I could find. I just installed a strut bar on our W211... mainly because I was bored. Fits exactly how it's pictured in this thread on the first page. I did notice on the picture though that it does push the weather stripping down.... Mine also does the same thing.
Other than that fitment is perfect. Would there be any problems with the weather stripping being pushed down like in this picture? IE: Because it's pushed down water will get into places it shouldn't? Or it doesn't create a seal to the hood...etc? I have no clue that's why I ask. All other cars I've ever installed a strut bar don't have that weather stripping sealing piece like the MB does.
Even looking at AMG models it appears that weather strip gets pushed down.
Thanks,
-Nigel

I installed the same many months ago. Regarding the weather strip, I just cut it on either side of the brace so there is no air gap. If I was concerned about the small gap that may be between the brace and the hood liner, I would but a piece of 3M tape on the brace between the weather strip cut ends.
I think the brace helps a bit allowing me to take sharp curves at a slightly higher peed before understeer. My guess is it gives perhaps 6 pounds of shifted down force.
