Hey guys I have been trying to find some threads regarding this topic but I simply can't. My question is, can a m113 from a clk55 or a m113k from e55 fit into an 04 clk500? I have the opportunity to get a clk500 with 140k on the clock for 4K and I know a guy who sells used engines and tranny.

Anything is possible with money and time. How badly do you want to modify a good car?

What do you mean by fit? physically? Yes it would bolt in. I'm not sure what electronically you would have to switch over.

the m113 from a clk55 can be fitted, but expect you'll have to change out a few other parts if they are not compatible, like the front SAM and maybe the instrument panel. Somebody skilled with STAR can solve those issues. but DON'T fit an 55k engine from an e class. they simply wont work. The cars ECU works with the SBC brake system or else it wont turn on. You'll have to find a way to retrofit SBC somehow on a CLK.

If money is no object and you just want to do this for "fun", then have at it! Otherwise, buy a CLK550 - it outperforms the CLK55. If you want something faster than that, then a CLK63. The price difference between a CLK500 and a CLK63 will be much less than the cost of "upgrading" a CLK500.
