Secondary cat delete/tone change?

I've had my 500 for nearly a year, I've had the resonator and the muffler deleted and twinned with quad tips, I'm now thinking that removing the secondary cats (possibly X pipe?) will add a bit more sound, but how much exactly? Anyone gone from what I've had done to the secondary cats out?

yes it going to make it louder, I dont know how you put into words exactly how much. But at that point you are going to be running just straight pipes.

You're gonna get more growl when accelerating and a little more snap on cold starts. Check my signature for my thread. I have 2nd cat delete, X pipe, resonator and muffler delete. Sounds heavenly.

Much appreciated, nice sound, what size magnaflow X-pipe is that? Better to use one of those, so the gases from both banks are mixing right?

The x-pipe is not mixing the exhaust (gases) from each bank. The crossover creates a vacuum effect on the opposite exhaust line, which pulls lingering gases down the pipe. This makes less resistance (back pressure) on the other bank when it fires. The "vacuum" effect is called scavenging...

Don't get that. That's not a quality pipe. The box in the middle gives it away as cheap.

Just my $.02, but I didnt notice a large difference after deleting the secondary cats. Now, I still have a muffler (Brabus), but it is slightly noticeable. But if you look at a picture of the secondary cats, you will see how tiny they actually are. I cant imagine you will notice a big difference compared to deleting the muffler. The muffler will account for 90% of your car being louder.

Secondary Cats

Not saying don't do it. The reason I did it was one of the cores of the cats came loose and was spinning around in the housing. This was causing back pressure and misfires. So you may be taking care of a future problem by deleting them. Or at least it makes it easier to justify that way .

as a single item i think the resonator makes the biggest sound difference
