Hi all. 1 month ago I got the Abs light on . The malfunction says ABS/ESP/BAS. I've heard its normally the wheels speed sensor or bad voltage . I had no time to go to my indy so I kept using the car with this light.
The day I had time to go to the indy the car didn't start. I turned the key and it keeps like 6..7 seconds trying but don't fire.
I decided to buy an Icarsoft i980 code reader to get it scanned . First It said:
The errors were stored. Now when I scan the car I only see:
ME-2.8 MOTOR ELECTRONICS 2.8
Do you guys have any idea about this problem? I've heard about the Camshaft position sensor for the problem the car doesn't start. Is it true?
Yea you wasted your money on a shabby scan tool!!----Find and indy who has DAS Xentry and he will solve your problem---all else say high to the dealer!!

Ok. I didn't buy this scan to compare to Star diagnosis. Its only to give me a little help as the indy charges me 100 usd for every time they scan my car.
That is a valid code (P20CC) but it's a code stored in the ECU that just lets you know there is another problem int he ESP system. It could be a bad ESP module, bad wheel speed sensor or something else - you really need a scan tool that can read the ESP system directly.
Sit in the car switch you car on , and spin it over .Do you see any movement from the rev coumter?.No movement, then yes , look at the CPS. But if you do see it move it will be a good one.
