side mirror turn signal and antenna on a 2004 clk500 convertible
Hi everyone, I am new to a 2004 ckl500 convertible and:
1.Dash says the turn signal in the passenger side mirror doesn't work but the mirror moves like it is supposed to. Do you know what I need to fix it?
2.FM radio doesn't tune in and the key fobs don't lock or unlock the doors (they do have fresh batteries) although I can start the car by pushing the top of the gear selector. Does this sound like an antenna problem? And I found the antenna amplifier in the trunk, but it is hard to get at. I need to check fuses as well
Any help would be appreciated, I am trying to fix some of these minor-ish issues myself to try and save some dollars.

For FM reception and key fob RCL functions, check fuse #8 on the rear SAM (in the trunk). If it's blown, try replacing it. If it blows again, you likely have a dead ATA alarm siren. That siren is located under the fender shroud, behind the front passenger wheel. It's a "not uncommon" failure. Te Siren has a rechargeable backup battery that eventually dies and leaks and kills the siren. And in areas where you have a lot of snow and ice where salt is used, it can deteriorate the siren.

yidney, thanks but wasn't the bulb, wires had come off the circuit board. I got a mirror from ebay and replaced the whole thing for $100 and now it is perfect.
Rodney/Rudeney, you really know your stuff. Before I read your post I went looking for bad fuses and you are on the money my friend, it was fuse number 8 in the trunk. All is well now, thanks for response. I am really having fun with this car and I am sure there will be more things i'll ask about as I get into it more. Thanks again!
