I have a blown subwoofer and I was curious if anyone knew if the 8 inch subwoofer that's in the car now could be swapped out for a 10 inch? Thanks for the input.
Opinion FWIW
If this woofer is in the casing between the rear seats...
I don't think a 10 would fit.
Easy enough to remove and verify.
If the sub is attached to the parcel shelf under the rear window may fit.
Might need to do some sheet metal cutting and drill some new holes.
Again take a look, perhaps from inside the trunk.
Have fun...+1 for improved stereo sound!

On a similar note, my HK factory sub in my 2006MY CLK coupe has blown, and I need to replace it with... something. It's being driven by a RF P1000X5 rather than the HK Amp though, so I guess that gives me a bit of flexibility with what to replace it with.
I'm seeing different sizes quoted for the sub in the rear shelf, with some people saying 8" and others saying 10". Is the HK sub quite slim, what is the maximum mounting depth that can be used without cutting?
