Need some advise !
Okay so i got my 2004 clk500 finally up and running .
i gave it a tune up , changed mas airflow sensor, changed spark plugs , sparkplug wires ,oil.
my friend reset the code for the mas airflow sensor with the snapon tool.
but after driving a while i get the p0104 code and some times when im driving esp comes on or a red batery signal saying visit workshop.
what can this problem be? he did a full scan and it did not show any other problems. they only codes i had was for the srs light and theirs alot for srs but no other engine codes or any other problems .
but whats going on? can it be the throttle body? some times the fan turns on high , some times the rpm is high on park.
need some help i really dont want to go to the dealer ! some one save me !

thanks for the reply . the battery is brand new duracel and the alternator is brand new but i dont think its bosch. but its just weird stuff i know its something simple but i need the knowledge from experts. but the rpms rev high on park, that can cause this as well?

Either check if there's any air leaking from the system or if the cruise control is stuck in place. That's what happened to me, the damn cruise control was stuck.

Check it with the engine running. It may take a minute, but it should eventually stabilize around 14v. I might even keep a voltmeter connected to see if it's fluctuating when you get the ESP and battery errors.

okay i will check it out. do you know the cause of the car turning of when im at a red light ? im going to check for leaks and make sure mas air sensor is tight on the throttle boddy. but the red display with the battery saying visit work shop ? can that be for any thing or just the battery ?

i have a new crankshaft position senson as well from Bosch, its just weird how the car turns off here and their for no reason. then the red battery sign comes on the cluster saying visit workshop

Your car may have a built-in voltmeter. It's on a "hidden" menu on the instrument cluster. With the key in position one, make sure the display is in the default mode - usually showing 0mph. Then press the rest stalk three times quickly. You should hear a beep and see a different menu in the display that will include a voltmeter. If not, then try buying an inexpensive voltmeter and tapping into the cigarette lighter.

ok thanks for the help i will check it out, sorry for bothering you but one more question . can a bad coil cause the car to die or turn of randomly ? and i have a brand new bosch and im still getting p0104 i just dont understand . but that coil thing is it possible ? because when i did my tune up i changed spark plugs and spark plug wires but not coils

yeah i understand sir , i changed the maf sensor brand new bosch and the crank shaft sensor bosch new . and my car is turning of on me for no reason and it revs up high and low and high and low . i have no ideah how to fix this i want to throw money on the right thing. should i just take it to the dealer? i just have a feeling their really not going to fix it . can this be the ecu car computer? i just dont understand

The best thing to do is to find a good Shop that deals with mercedes. Do not go to mercedes they will charge you an arm and 2 legs and might not even fix it . It maybe an electrical issue . even though the alternator is new it might not be putting out the correct voltage . take it in and have them check everything . Its cheaper than guessing and throwing parts at it .

but sir do you know any symtoms of car just dying at a light . or some times esp comes one once in a blue and i go into limp mode , but i restart car and it becomes fine. can it be conductor plate?
