2004 CLK 320
I like the staggered size look. My 72 y/o neighbor even notices that!

I just have the appearance package wheels, they are fine for me.

Keep it staggered, IHO

Well, depends which car do you have the CLK320 or the 500. If you have the 500, definately go with the Stag look. But if you have the 320, and you care about performance, stick with 8.5 all around. The less ground the wheels cover the less HP you need to get your car going. I Have the 320 witht the Stag look, though it looks great, I notice a slight decrease in performance. Since the orginal rims are stock 8" in the rear, I think the 320's would look and perform better with 8.5" all around. Just my opion.

Do you have a picture of your car with the Brabus springs and Maya wheels?

Mine comes with stock 17 inch wheels, personally, they look rather boring. Will 18's with 8.5 rear and 8 front be a better bet?

18's are ok, but it doesn't look aggressive enough for me and for the money to spend on getting 18's, you might as well chip in a bit more for 19's. Trust me, you will be much happier. Though I must worn you that 19's you definately will be driving more careful not to bend your rims.

2 reasons I'm not convinced I need 19's:
1. My local shop here tells me it's going to eat through my front end bushes and such much more quickly.
2. Might affect performance somewhat.
3. 19 tires may be hard to come by and when they do, it usually means more mula I have to shell out.

Okay, make that 3.

Make sure you post some pics of them. Guess what, today I went down to the local shop and found a set of Brabus IV made by what he calls the OEM for Brabus. Looks exactly like the Monoblock IV, but without the BRABUS name brand. He wanted to charge me about USD 220 a piece. DOn't know, but I think that's a steal compared with the real ones at 1K plus each.

THoughts?

It's not OEM for Brabus, its more like replicas of Brabus rims. If your thinking of 18's then thats not a bad option to go by. However, 18's are not that much eaiser to drive on. There is a class action suit against MB regarding consumers complaining that Dealers do not warn them regarding the driving conditions with 18's. In my opinion, you can bend your rims just the same with 18's as 19's. I have a friend who just bent his 18's over a pot hole on his G35 coupe. As for pricing of tires, I don't see much of a difference in price, and sometime's depending on what kind of tires you buy, it cost just as much to get 19's as to get 18's. Besides, cars are now coming out with 19's as standard or options on new cars, ex. the new chrysler and the BMW M3.

I agree...

what usually will bend a 19 will bend an 18 as well. With this logic, we should all go back to 13" wheels and 80 aspect ratio tires. Do you need to be more careful with a bigger setup? Sure you do, that's just good sense. And as far as bushing/suspension wear, that's a bunch of hooey, if the car is realtively new. No, you wouldn't want to bolt up a set of huge wheels to a 100k mile car, at least not without new bushings, tie rod ends, shocks, etc. But a very late model car ain't a probem. And as far as availability, you can have 19" tires to your door in the morning if you want to. They are readily availalbe from T rack, Discount, or in stock at lots of big city performance tire stores. Hope this helps...

Okay! Finally done, I had the rims installed today. They are plenty cool, I am plenty happy. One thing though, any advice on using spacers for a more aggressive look? Guy at the shop says they're not available anywhere, and using those would create the shakes at high speed. Hmmm. Not really convinced.
