Speedtuning chip or sprint booster?

What's up everyone , was very curious and optimistic about these chips. Are they worth it? do you recommend it? If so which one?

Nothing i would use or recommend. Go with a legit tune if you want to change the ecu settings

Ideally you need both....an ECU tune or chip (Superchips etc) and a Sprintbooster....a Sprintbooster adds no power ....just makes the throttle feel more responsive by adjusting the signal between pedal and ecu and throttle body....this is from their own ad.

"Sprint Booster simply modifies the throttle signal between the accelerator pedal and the throttle body. Big deal right? Keep in mind, this is the same concept as the 'throttle pulley' modification on cable based throttle systems - which was very popular in it's time. It doesn't add horsepower, but makes the throttle more sensitive and makes the car 'feel' faster."

You can tune out the throttle delay, so a tune would do both.

Sounds good, I'll ask my mechanic about a tune.

I wouldn't trust just anyone to tune your car. If they mess up..... BOOM and then $$$$$$$.

if you want to tune your car go to a trusted tuner- FWIW, I had sprintbooster on my CLS 500 and it was a huge difference...people will bash on it all day, but it did what I wanted it to do.

Disagree. The Sprintbooster isn't doing anything the tune can't. You just need to communicate with your tuner if you want that real aggressive throttle tip-in.

Very well said- and it definitely does what it says it will do. Can't ask for much more, it's just important that people understand what they're buying. It's not throttle response, it's pedal response. There is a huge difference.

Imo it does nothing more than you can do by pushing the pedal harder!

have you ever owned a newer generation sprint booster?

Pressing the pedal "harder" in no way replicates what a sprint booster will do in green or red mode ( i cant remember what they are called)

No I haven't but would be interested to know more.. Even their ad pretty much says that is all it does.

the biggest thing for me, the WOT delay is completely gone...once you tap the gas pedal the car moves forward.
