Driver side audio wires

Hi folks,

CLK 320/W209

I've replaced audio head unit a while ago and now adding amp and new speakers.

Question is: how to wire audio cables from head unit to left (driver) side of the car? Literary, the path from the center dashboard (behind the radio head) to driver side door and/or floor. And the easiest way to access it.

Why: because my amplifier is in trunk and I wire power through the right side. Audio to go the opposite way.

I couldn't find similar question/answer through the forums.

Thanks for the help!

Remove the door sill - you'll find a nice big plastic "pocket" under there just ready for your wires.

OK, I've got path from central dash to the side of the car.
Now fitting them into the door.

I think you're talking about that sleeve with cables running into the door (red on the picture). How to get there? I suppose opening green glued seal, but can't really reach that due to handbreak pedal (blue).

Can you tell the right way, please?

No, not into the door itself - into the door sill. Remove the part with the metal "Mercedes-Benz" metal plate on it. Check this guide:

http://www.mods4cars.com/sms/db/smar...all_clk/en.php

It's for installing the SmartTOP module, but you'll see what I am talking about in "Steps 1-3".

I've got that part, thank you!

Now I also need to pull wires into the door itself - that's where speakers will reside. How to get there - through that green glued seal I pointed in the photo above?

If yes, what's the best way to get handbreak pedal off the way?

Thanks!

tie your new wire to the old one and pull it through.

No - don't do that! Run your analog wires to the trunk, then tie into the speaker wiring there that is now attached to the Bose amp.
