One stinking bolt

Ok so I am trying to replace a rear seat belt on my coupe. I have removed the mechanism from the rear desk and I am down to the bolt that attaches it to the body beneath the seats. This bolt is behind the lower side panel (part 8 in the WIS). Do I have to remove the entire side panel to get to this bolt or has anyone come up with a work around?

Thanks
Mike

I always remove the panel. I'm not sure how you'd get it otherwise as it completely covers the bolt. Pretty stupid design.

A side note. You can loosen the panel and lift it up a little to get to the bolt. You don't have to completely remove it.

Thanks, I will give that a try. I have to look at it tomorrow but if that bolt is beneath the top of the seat I am even thinking about pulling back the cloth then cutting a small panel out to get the bolt out then patching it back up. I hate taking old panels out something always breaks.
