Hello everyone,

I am hoping one of you may know if a 208 seat tilt motor will work in a 209 car. My CLK 270 CDI 2003 number starts WDB209. My seat tilt and headrest adjustment no longer work either manually or via the memory settings, though I can hear clicking under the seat when I try so I think the door switches and the current as far as the seat control unit are both ok.

I don't know which fuse is for this particular motor but all the fuses in the boot are good and anyway I would assume that a blown fuse is symptomatic of a faulty motor.

There is an unused 208 seat tilt motor for sale on the web and I like the idea of unused more than used. I can't seem to find any new 209 motors for sale here in the UK.

You check all those things by using or have someone use MB EPC-----post the part number and your VIN

Thank you Plutoe, I think I need to get a dealership to check this for me, I am resident in the UK. But now I know how you do it.
