Complete BS on the 'tuned' suspension. Tuned for what? What about snow tires? Are you racing the thing on a track? ... I've owned my CLK for almost 10 years now with all different tires. Some high priced run-flats, some cheapo's, some winter. The one thing I really hated about run-flats was the fact you never know how much air is in them without checking. I once had a tire with only 20lbs in it (instead of 30lbs). Don't know how log I was driving on it before I checked it. After that I got paranoid and started checking them all the time. At least with normal tires you can visually notice a tire with low pressure.

I think there is a law for car manufacturers to couple runflats with TPMS.

Car dealerships here in Canada are mandated to equip TPMS for all new cars with runflats. Like you said, you never know how much air is in the tire!
