Front brake wear mostly on the inside?

Front brake wear mostly on the inside?
I have noticed that my front brakes on both sides have worn the discs far more on the inside than the outside. No symptoms or shimmys. I doubt very much that all the outer pistons are seized. These discs have been on the car since only 27k miles, so they have about 35,000k miles on them. The outside just barely has developed a lip. The inside has the lip you would expect at 35,000 miles - maybe more. What could cause this besides seized pistons? All pistons bleed from one bleeder, right?

Here's my theory (and it's just an off-the-cuff theory!) - Your car has fixed calipers with pistons on the inside and outside. The hydraulic hose feeding caliper is closer to the inside pistons, so they get the bulk of the pressure before the outer pistons, where the fluid has to travel further. Again, just a theory!
Regarding uneven brake wear, I remember from my days with the W163 ML, we always compared our brake pad wear and it seemed to be totally random, from car to car, but it seemed that one pad on one wheel always seemed to wear more quickly than the others. On the 4MATIC system, I think it was the ESP system that cause it, trying to maintain equal torque on all wheels.
