2009 CLK550 Production numbers?

Does anyone have any information on the 2009 CLK550 production numbers? I am in the market for one. Coupe only and finding one seems to very hard to do. Especially with lower miles. Does anyone know how many were made for MY2009?

Here are sales figures:

http://carsalesbase.com/us-car-sales...edes-benz-clk/

It shows 7,150 sold in 2009, but note that about half the "MY2009's" sold would have been in calendar year 12008, so part of that 10,000 sold in 2008 would be MY2009's. My guess would be about 10,000 MY2009's were made. Now, more than 50% are convertibles, so let's say you're looking at 5,000 coupes, max, and then only something like 20% are V8's, so now there's maybe 1,000 cars that meet your criteria (just guessing, though).

2008 CLK550
Just for reference, I was looking for a CLK550 in white or red coupe form, took about 3 months and had to get her shipped from Arizona. I'm located in South MD and was unable to fly and inspect before purchase. The car also was the lowest mileage CLK550 for sale in the nation at the time which was a plus. Stole it from a Ford dealership in Arizona. If you want a 550, they aren't hard to find, but if you want coupe and certain color than that's going to decrease your percentages even more. I didn't want black or silver because too common for me, but honestly just driving a CLK550 sets you apart in general. I would make sure to go after the 2008 or 09 as they had the AMG package as standard option. Good luck in your search bud!

Actually, all CLK V8's (at least in the USA) have the AMG sport appearance package. But looking for MY2008/2009 is good advice - those tend to be much more reliable: no "balance shaft" worries, and fewer transmission issues.

Thank you for the replys guys. That is what I want to replace my 250,000 Mile C240. A 2009 CLK550 Coupe. Coupe, V8 power/sound, no airmatic, comfort and reliability. I usually buy last year model cars anyways. I have been looking for over a month and nothing came up yet. Hard to find for sure but could be easier since I am open to colors unless it is crazy like tan or yellow.

Well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Remember, somebody bought that car new. Maybe even special ordered it that way!

Holy Toledo C280 Sport, that is one seriously intimidating stable of thoroughbred Mercs you listed in your post above. Obviously your premises is governed by a strict "No Bimmer" policy, which is of course as it should be, in a just universe.

Three CLK cars is certainly an indication of a serious preoccupation with that make and model that borders on the fanatical, and is funded by the sort of budget most mortals only ever hear about third hand.

My hat is off to you sir, for sharing this drool-worthy lineup of German engineering at its finest. May The G-Forces be with you, in this noble quest to add none other than the flagship of the CLK family, the elusive and fearsome 2009 CLK 550, to your collection of performance automotive art.

Thank you sir. I cannot say I am totally against BMW. My wife wants a new car and a used X5M or X5 is on her list along with the MB GLA, GLK, GLC, Jaguar SUV and Porsche SUV. I just love the feel of a Mercedes and especially the coupes. My first CLK was a 2002 430. Nice car. Then got a 2004 CLK320 Cab. Loved it. But really wanted a coupe so then I got a 2005 CLK55 Coupe. Now I love it so much I would buy one to use as a DD.

I like tan on a W210,W211 but for a CLK it is not for me. Black, White, Silver, Greys I am thinking. But again I cant be too picky.
