Exhaust System for CLK500?
Also, does anyone know if I get an exhaust system, would it fit on my CLK500 stock rear bumper? Or would I have to get someone to shave off some of my bumper to fit the exhaust? The Eisenmann system seems to be too big in terms of the size of the exhaust to fit, but thats just my guess. So anyone with advice please help me.
Also, if anyone has any good deals with any brand exhaust system could you let me know? thanks!
As for the intake, you wont need to modify them, people have some odd idea that if you put a cone filter at the end, you'll get more HP and intake, but in reality the stock intakes are pretty big, and if you were to do the air intake mod, you would need two cone filters. There is no use for them, the stock filters do just as much, if not more. They only look good when you pop the hood, but you might get malfunction errors if you do this mod.
Here is an example of a W208 CLK430 with the same mod, like I said you wont experience any gains, its just like having the stock one there. Its all just looks i guess.
S500...
Hope this helps...
BTW- If you want a less restrictive intake, try swapping the stock one for the one found in the S500, its like a 10 dollar part, and will get you more air intake... a lot of the E500 people are doing this, so it would be the same for the CLK500's... here's the link. Good luck! https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...ht=restriction

Red Plastic Tubes - $14.00 each
The metal round tubes are $2.50 each (These are 3 inch round aluminum drain pipes that were cut in half)
The filters are for a Honda, with the a 3" opening for the tube to connect to. Pretty sure its possible to do, if it can be done in an S500, it can surely be done to a CLK500, and without a doubt be done to a CLK320.
Just one last question, is there a lot of differences between the different style of tips. I checked the Eisenmann website and found that for the CLK500 there are 3 tips
2x76mm(round)
2x83mm(round)
1x120x77mm(oval)
Is there a difference in performance between the 3 or is it just for the looks? And also will any of these 3 fit under my stock rear bumper? Sorry for asking so many questions~! I need to make sure before I order it. Which would you suggest?

Darrick - I never did this air intake mod, but my friend has, it definately is louder than stock without a doubt, you can tell you have something under the hood, as for functionality, the intakes suck in hot air, so it could put some work on your engine, its not a cold air intake... It looks good though and makes the exhaust notes sing even better none the less, its all about personal preference, its better than the Renntech CF Airbox, that thing is hecka expensive, but Renntech does give you HP increases, but only like 2 or 3, not worth the grand your paying for it. If you want cheap upgrades that are effective, i would suggest you invest 500 bucks into an Evosport pulley, best bang for the buck when I was modding my CLK430, doing the same to my CLK500 now.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I had the 2X83mm Exhaust, and that is the largest in diameter, and it will fit.. the Oval one is just wide, not larger in diameter, the bigger the diameter the louder it will be, 2x83mm and the oval exhaust will sound about the same, a lot of people just do the 2x83mm one, I suggest you get that one. Best looking and sounding IMHO.
