Soft top/ windows problem

I purchased a 09 CLK550 cabrio with 28K miles and full service records yesterday to replace my 07 with 77K which I will be selling. Same color combination, white with beige interior. The 09 is in like new condition except one problem. When closing the soft top the windows do not close at the end of the cycle. The "top operation" emblem on the dash turns off but the windows remain open. I can close all windows manually using each switch . The selling dealership is going to have this checked out before I take the car. Can anyone offer any ideas? Setting? Limit switch?

Can you close the windows with the soft top switch? Do this by lifting up once briefly, then lift and hold. You should also be able to lower all windows dong the opposite - press down on the soft top switch once briefly, the press down and hold. Also, does the auto-up function work from the door switches? If not, it may be that they need to be re-normalized: With the doors closed, lower each window halfway, then pull up on its switch fully until raised, then hold for five seconds.

Thanks for the feedback. I have not taken possession of the vehicle yet. The dealer has several items to attend to , the windows being one. If they have not resolved it by Tuesday when I pick it up I will attempt your suggestion.

If they don't resolve the problem, I might think twice about the purchase. It could end up being a costly repair.
