W126 FRONT WHEEL SPACERS

I have a set of 16x8 OEM ally wheels for my W126 500SE.The ET is different by about 10mm I think. The "normal" solution would be to fit 10mm Hubcentric spacers, but the front hubs have very long locating bosses which would make this impossible ,even though they are slightly tapered. Is the only option to fit non-hubcentric spacers and assume that the wheel has enough centre hub location,or can the hub itself be swapped for another version ?
