Thumbs up I'ts here our first MB

I'ts finally here, my wife's new clk 320 cab.

This is our first ever MB, we have been loyal BMW owners changing both cars every year for the last couple of years.

My wife decided that her 330i sport had to go in exchange for a new cabriolet.
We looked at the 3 series cab, Audi cab, MB cab & she decided that it was time to change brand.

We have thoroughly enjoyed owning BMW's & have always been drawn to them every year.
However, this time we have taken a gamble & gone with MB, after a test drive she admitted that she liked the car.
The reports of poor quality & reliability of MB did worry us a little especially as the car is significantly more expensive than a BMW cab.
I sincerely hope that MB image will hold up after a few weeks of ownership.
The car is finally here, we take delivery on Wednesday, let's pray for some sun here in the UK.

BMW defector here too

After seven BMWs, I have gotten sick of the poor reliability and apathetic attitude of BMWNA/AG. So it was time to switch and get the wife a CLK500. The MB dealer does pick up and drop off at my office, which is much better than the BMW dealer offers. Enjoy your car (when you're allowed to drive it).

All the best to you and your "new addition" to the family. Getting a new car is so exciting, savory every minute of it. Remember in about 30 days or so to give her a nice extra coat of wax for added protection.

Hey looks great!

Is the car's color the equivalent of "black opal" which we get in the United States?

Tanzanite Blue in the UK is the equivalent to your Capri Blue in the US.

Great Car , Great Colour, congradulation with your new CLK.

Did you check if you had NANO paint?

Thanks for your comments, what is NANO paint ????
I think it's just normal metallic paint.

Tanzanite Blue code should be 359

if you have nano paint you would see either C359 or K359

you may do a search on NANO paint
refer to this

https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...ght=nano+paint

basically NANO paint is a new type of paint which has better resistance from scratch or chip.

so if you check your driver side door panel and paint tag, see whats the code you have.

Cheers

here are pics of the glovebox trim swap, definately worth it in my opinion, a very inexpensive effective mod.

The 18" AMG are a factory option here in the UK & comes complete with sports suspension.

IMO = In My Opinion

...Hey I just checked mine and found C189 on one of the driver side tag...

I never knew my car had nano paint though... it was a 10/03 production car.

I don't see any difference... But it's true the car so far doesn't have any chips from highway driving.
