RE-CODE ?

Having to buy another used original stereo { MF2540 }for my 2006 facelift CLK does anyone know if it`s going to need re-coding for my car .

Some do ans some dont , but a few do come without any code at all , but will only play in the merc its fitted to .That means you can remove it or the battery and replace it without putting the code in every time.

Thanks for that. Ive taken mine out to check the mulitplug wiring to each speaker and put it back in and it didnt ask for a code .
Its the Alpine MF2540 version thats fitted in my 2006 CLK Facelift model .
