My instrument cluster was replaced. When I wanted to open soft top. No go and a puddle of oil. Did a check and found Right main lift cylinder broken. ( I have attached a picture). Question I have, is this related or just bad luck? I am confident to do replacement myself, but concerned if maybe there is another issue, potentially after cluster change.
Not related. Frankly, I'm a bit curious why you would think it might be.
Only reason I suspected was the timing of the cylinder failure. It failed first time after the cluster was replaced.
Is there anything else I should check or just replace the cylinder.
