Convertible Pump protection mode?
Hello. I decided to put the top down on my CLK500 we keep in Mexico, hasn't been down in two years. Went down great, later that evening I went to raise it, because it was dark I didn't notice that the top wasn't going up even though I was hearing the pump. A few seconds after I noticed this the pump stopped working. (ran for about 30-40 seconds). I've confirmed that the system didn't have any hydraulic fluid. I'm going to go get fluid and fill it but I don't know how to get the pump to get power again. Did I trigger a protection mode that needs to be reset? Blew a fuse? Thank you for any help guys!

I do not know the answer to your pump question, but if your top went down, but won't go up and the fluid is empty, you have developed a pretty good leak, which is not surprising in a car that old. Either a line ruptured or seals in a cylinder went bad. Filling it for any purpose other than looking for the leak is just going to dump oil somewhere in your car.

There is a "mega fuse" located in the rear separation point for the pump power feed. Refer to the WIS doc below, photo labeled "P77 37/2110-01". It's where cable (4) connects.
