SPRINT BOOSTER vs. PEDALBOX

`

https://www.sprintboostersales.com/M...Class?sc1=1231

https://www.pedalbox.com/us/mercedes.../pedalbox.html

What would make you purchase one over the other

There are many positive reviews for the Sprint Booster

yet I am not finding but one or two reviews for the

PedalBox - both positive

Are there any real differences other than the price

Has anyone here tried the PedalBox - ...good/bad results

Thank-You
D.B.

I would choose the Sprint Booster because of the flexibility (36 programs/configs) and the longevity of the company.
Does using the "S" mode do a similar thing?
Let us know which you buy and how it performs.

I've got the Sprint Booster on my 2003 E500 and couldn't be happier.
Really compliments the ECU tune from Eurocharged and reduces throttle lag to almost nothing.

I really liked the sprint booster when I had it for 2 years. But within that 2 years my fuel pump went out 4 times leaving me stranded. Not saying it’s the cause, but it is what it is. No problems in the 7 years before, and no problems in the 6 years, 100k since I removed it. I still have it but afraid to put it back on.

I have come close to reading just about every post

relating to Sprint Booster on this forum - Benzworld -

a BMW forum as well as a Lexus forum -

Yours is the worst case problem I have come across -

By far -

I have no doubt that you had a problem with fuel pumps

and no problems since you removed your SB -

First hand experience is the best source of knowledge -

Most negative comments regarding SB are being made

by forum members who have no firsthand experience

with SB in the forums mentioned above -

I am not sure how long SB has been offering their

money back guarantee but I don't think I encountered

one member from any forum that said after trying SB

they were returning it for a refund -

Doing the Eurocharged ECU / TCU tunes first -

The ECU tune is over the internet and I just shipped the

TCU to Eurocharged today -

I also stopped by service to find out about installing the TCU

and resetting the transmission adaptation settings with STAR DAS -

Told to just bring it by as it only takes about 30 minutes for the

transmission tech to install / reset -

I have posted that I drive in the S mode (W/S) and the car is in

Dyno Mode at all times -

I am still considering the SB but am going to drive with the "TUNES"

for a few days before making a call on the SB -

Thank-You
D.B.

Why do you post with only a handful of letters per line? Posts take a lot of vertical space this way. Is this a preference you have or some formatting problem you are facing? I could help if so.

The TCU was returned from Eurocharged safe and sound

and very quickly - with a very nice Thank-You gift enclosed -

Stopped by to have the transmission service tech swap out the

OEM TCU and install the TCU with the Eurocharged TCU tune

then hook-up Star Das and do the reset -

Took him about 20 minutes -

The Eurocharged ECU tune was done over the internet -

As I posted before the car is always in Dyno Mode and

the transmission is always set to "S" (W/S) -

The car is quicker with much quicker shifting -

I would do these two tunes again as they change the way

the car drives for the better -

A really big Thank-You to solomon@eurocharged.com

He was great to work with and listened to everything I wanted -

If you are thinking about a ECU or TCU tune (or both) Solomom

will take care of you - (I did sweeten the deal) -

It doesn't cost anything to talk to him -

I also ordered the Sprint Booster and it should be delivered tomorrow -

I am planning to have it installed Wensday or Thursday -

Thank-You
D.B.

Update on the Sprint Booster install -

Prior to the SB install I tried driving as recommended

by forum members who did not have experience with

the SB -

I floored it - mashed it - stomped on it ect... as I had never

driven the car in such a manner around town -

Apples and oranges when comparing such actions to

the SB -

The install took 12 minutes by a pro installer who has

done more than a few of these -

The factory preset was green 5 where I left it for the first day -

The next day I set it at red 9 and it has been there ever since -

The car is in Dyno mode at all times -

The transmission is always set in "S" (W/S) -

Since becoming the owner of this car I have used it for mostly

driving around town -

Now after the suspension mods and having just done the ECU

and TCU tunes from Eurocharged the SB brings the car alive -

The car is so much fun to drive around town - the mental stimulation

I get from the acceleration as well the sound from the modified exhaust

is what I had been missing -

Turning the SB off and driving takes you no where mentally - it is like taking

a fistfull of Tuinal's - ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuinal ) - and stumbling

around town -

At the time the SB was installed I went and had the oil and oil filter changed

and put on a new oil filler cap -

Ben at Eastside Auto Salon replaced the BMC filters with new ones and also

replaced the air intake tubes with the new tubes I had pick-up at the dealership -

Even if your car is stock the first $300.00 you spend on it

spend it on a Sprint Booster - a smile on your face as your mind

says "Oh Yeah - this is crazy" -

Basically done with the car - waiting to have an Alpine iLX F309

with a 9" floating screen installed the first of September when my

installer has time -

Now for the big summer detail from Joey at Eastside Auto Salon

in Bellevue -

Thank-You
D.B.
