clk 320 broken gearbox (again)

So ... last year, i had my gearbox and torque converter replaced, with a remanufactured unit.

Long story short, it went bad, like K2 and torque converter bad at almost the same time. I need another gearbox...

I sourced a used gearbox but it does not have a torque converter. Can i install any 722.6 torque converter, or is there a specific version ? Thank you

NO LONGER ACTIVE
According to EPC< there are three different torque converters and they are specific by VIN ranges. So, to answer your question, no.

I know there are varying AG, their suitability relative to their maximum torque throughput. Are the TCs specific to torque output? Or is that simply the box itself?

Why do you keep losing transmissions like this? This is not normal at all. With regular fluid and filter changes at 60k km, these transmissions will last a long long time.

Mine is at 187,000 km now and I only had to replace the conductor plate once and the rest has been fluid and filter changes.

Previous transmission died of glycol. This one is a crappy remanufactured unit, that died after something like 5Kmiles. The seller filed for bankrupcy so there goes the 4000€ i paid to have it changed one year ago. It screams of dead K2 bearing and bad torque converter.

My usage is simple: 2 times 15 miles per day, 12 of it being a highway, and i stay at truck speed so i am not bothered with traffic ( and there only is like 1mn time difference). Hardly any abuse. When i want to beat the crap out of a car or just vent, i use the s13.
