'00 CLK 430 or '03 CLK 500?

'00 CLK 430 or '03 CLK 500?
There's a 2000 CLK 430, white, with 36,811 miles, k2a, k3 & k4 for sale for $40k, is this a good deal? It's a starmark preowned car. Why did they change 430 to 500? What's the main difference? So, what is the estimated price for the CLK 500?

2000 CLK430 w/ 19"AMG rims
The Clk500 will have the same engine as the S500. A 5.0 liter engine with about 310 horses under the hood. While the CLK430 only has 279horses and is a 4.3 liter engine. Not a big difference, but with the new CLK500 you can do 0-60 in under 6 seconds. I'd recomment the new CLK just because of all the new features the car has to offer.
