Hello MBworld members, I live near Seattle, Washington. I recently purchased an 05 CLK500 When it rained the other day I felt a water leaks on both sided of the front latch part where the front of the convertible connects. Not sure what the problem is. I was reading about the A-Pillar but I would appreciate any input. Thanks

Welcome to the forum!
A common cause is clogged drains. If you open the top and look at the rubber seal on the edge of the A-pillar, you'll see it has a funnel-shaped piece that is a drain. If you gently pour water in there, is should drain out behind the front wheels. If not, it's clogged. You can use something soft but stiff to rod it out (like string trimmer cord).
If the drain is good, hen check the seals for any breaks. If they are good, then try water proofing the canvas. RaggTopp and others make products for convertible tops, but I like the Rustoleum Never Wet for outdoor canvas.

2005 CLK500 Cabriolet
I also have a 2005 CLK cabriolet, so welcome to the family!
I treated the roof with the 303 family, as my buddy with a 911 uses that. I first used their Fabric Cleaner, and then the Fabric Guard. Works wonders to repel water off the canvas.
Hopefully it is that simple for you, or just "snaking" those drains as suggested. I also recommend Gummi Pflege for the rubber seals on the car.
