![Question](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
is the 209 much different/smaller than the 208? my wife (who drives the 202) saw a friends 209 and thought it was "cute", though she didn't recognize it as the same model (CLK320) a friend of ours has, even though they're both silver

2004 Mercedes Benz CLK 500
W209 looks a lot sportier because it doesnt have the front emblem sticking out. Not sure about the size difference tho, but they should be similar in size.

2004 Maserati Coupe
The 209 is actually a slightly larger car than the 208 - a couple of inches longer (give or take). It is also heavier. Regarding the emblem, the 208 has it standing up on the hood like you see in the E and S classes (your 280 as well). The 209 just has the flattened badge stuck on the hood. All in all though, the cars are pretty similar in size.

wow, 209 larger? my friend that had the 2000 208 told me he thought the 209 looked smaller. must be that "meaner" look, like the new E class. BTW, any pics of your Maserati?

2004 Maserati Coupe
Hey eddie. I would post some here, but can't get around the 1 byte max of this site. If you go to http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10625 I have posted a couple of pictures. You may need to scroll a bit to get to them. You can also go to http://www.maseratiforum.net/photos/ and see a collection of pictures from other Masers as well. Most people that actually own these cars, love them, including myself!
PS - My avatar is a picture of the Maser engine bay in case you didn't notice. Truly one of the great v8s in production...

the way around the one byte, I think, is to img it, like in my signature. for example: bracket img bracket image location bracket slash img bracket, or:

Can someone be a bit more specific about the w20x classifications? For instance the relation to year and model. I am coming from the BMW world were the E46 was the latest M3 model vs. the E36, which was the pre 2001 models.

I assume that as you found your way to this forum, you went right by the list of ALL forums without seeing the info (see above, where it says, "Mercedes-Benz Coupes & Cabriolets "? click that, and it'll bring you back to the screen that lists the forums by chassis, with the list of years and models for each, like so:
