My heater control unit seems to be acting up and, as I've been told by my mechanic, it is a common problem with these cars to have the electrical contacts on the unit fail resulting in the AC blowing sometime hot and some times cold.
If i don't touch the temp dials, usually the temperature stays OK, but if it acts up i need to wiggle it a bit and it usually fixes the problem.

I am looking to replace the control unit but my problem is that i find many different units that all look the same but have different part numbers so i am worries i order the wrong part.
Not sure if they have different part numbers but are compatible so i figured i ask the community here for help.

The card is a 2006 Facelift CLK200 W209 Convertible Avantgarde and the head unit looks like the attached photo.


Any input would be much appreciated.
