I am new here, my name is Jhas and I live in the Netherlands and drive a clk w209 240 of year built 2002.


I have been running for some time with this problem the srs light stays on.
I have been figuring out for some time how I can solve this problem. I get these error codes.

B1076 Fault in CAN mommunication with control unit N72/1 (upper panal control module)
B1075 CAN communication is faulty.

I can not delete the codes either, i have the icarsoft mbii.
and normally I could erase the codes but after a few times they are stuck in it

can somebody help me please?

Ar you have any issues with the upper control panel" That is the panel with the "Passenger Airbag Off" light on it. If the airbag system cannot communicate with that indicator light, it will throw an error.

but no i dont have Any problems. Even the airbag yellow light go on for a few sec. And turns off if i start the car.

hazard light, Door locking Works fine.

 

What happens when you try to clear the codes? DO they just come right back immediately?

the obd scanner says the code is unsuccessful erase. And the code keeps standing.

 

 

I need to say that the problem started when i remove the left door module (steering wheel is on the right. right drive) because my window opens out it self and the memory was everyday gone. After a few day srs light was coming and the dashboard give a few fault codes (fault in dashboard light from the big light turns everything light up) after restart the eninge its was gone and srs i erase with the scanner after a few days i cault not erase the code anymore. I tought when the jused door module come from eBay the code will erase but its still there..


I reed some where that it can be the battery. I tested it. With a volt gauge the battery is 11.70 and when i start the car it jumps to 8... volt. When the car runs it go to 13.9 volt.

I think i got a CAN communication problem. Can some one tell me where i need to look? New battery didnt work.

 

I think the main problem you have is the squib in the side airbag. When it says "resistance too high" it means there is a loose connection. Since you did work in that area, it is possible you unplugged something.

 

hello

today i open everthing and check the cables and for a lose connection everthing is fine. even i try to disconect the steeringwheel airbag and put the key in igniton. there come a extra fault code i put everthing back and now i got 2 fault code extra that i cant remove. ( i was just testing something) i think that the airbag module broken is(i dont hope so)

but i got a lot of CAN fault code ( i put about 4 months ago a android radio but everthing works fine till a couple of weeks)

some codes i got

B1090 --- fault in CAN communication with contol unit n70 (overhead control panel control unit). if fault code occurs with no complaint reported and no malfunctions, erase fault memory and perform a function check.
B1096 --- fault in CAN communication with contol unit n72/1 (upper control panae control unit). if fault code occurs with no complaint reported check.
B1030 --- control module UPC is not sending any data. if fault code occurs with no complaint reported and no malfunctions, erase fault memory and perform a function check.
9026 --- CAN communication is faulty
B1136 --- fault when writting the eeprom
B1129 --- fault in CAN communication with contol module command or audio
B1114 --- fault in CAN communication with contol unit OCP

 

Are those B codes form the SRS module? If so, refer here:

The B1090 and B1096 would indicate a bad SRS control module, but before tossing parts at the problem, I would get a proper diagnosis with SDS. While those handheld scanners are pretty good, they are not always accurate.

 

The codes is not only from the srs. Tommorow i will scan again and write down with code these belong.

The dealer here have a waiting time around 2 weeks they are building a new place.

 

You don't need a dealer for SDS! Get your own, for find an indy or skilled DIYer who has it.

13 AHE - trailer recongnition = Fault in communication with vehicle ECU.

B15A8 component m2/15 left en right flootwel flapd actuator is stiff or blocked

all codes i can delete but it comes back only the srs cant erase.

 

SDS = Star Diagnosis System, MBZ's computer diagnostic system. It goes beyond what an OBDII scanner can do, even those that can read MBZ's proprietary systems. It can do som tets and actuations to narrow down your problem.

i was a little bit busy with the christmas day

but i have the srs light off.

i call a frend of my he has a little business
with sellings cars and he got some obd readers (launch and delphi but the delphi borrowed) with the launch reader it was possible to erase the srs code only 1 code remain

B1072 the coding for component B48 (front passenger seat occupied and child seat recognition ) is faulty.

I checked the cables. but when I pulled out the cable with 3 wires the srs light went out, and I did not have a fault anymore (strange but true)

when he gets his delphi back i gonne check the other remaining CAN fault codes.
