Window problems

I have looked around the internet to help me, but I havent found anything that helps. I have a 2002 clk320. the drivers side window wont roll up all the way. when i roll it up it reaches the top then goes back down about 2 inches. however far the window is up when i release the up button it goes down about 2 inches. when i roll it up and hold it it still goes down after a couple of seconds. the auto up and down dont work either. i have tried resetting the window by holding the up and down buttons for a couple seconds but when i do the up button it wont even stay up. i tried unplugging the battery which did nothing. this is only the drivers side btw

Welcome to the forum! Please take a moment to visit the User Control Panel and update your profile to include your car model and year, and your location (at least country). This information will then appear below your name and avatar on the left side panel next to each post you make. This will greatly help others to give you better information. If you are using the mobile version of the site, you will need to switch to the "full" version to get to the User Control Panel.

First, try resetting the door controller by pulling the fuse for a few minutes instead of disconnecting the battery. Left side door is 21, right side is 22 (panel on the drier's side of the dash). lower the window halfway, then pull the window switch fully up (second "click") , and hold it for about 10 seconds after it reaches the top. Also, if this is a cabriolet, try doing it with the top open.
