I inherited a 2006 CLK500. 129000 miles on it, and is an everyday driver. I am experiencing a BATTERY - VISIT WORKSHOP issue. How many batteries does this car have and if a second one, where is it located? Replaced front *under hood* battery today, light still on. Hate to know I wasted $200 on a battery I didn't need!

 

There is only one battery in our car. And you problem most likely with an alternator. Check your voltage with multimeter while the car is running.
