cd changer woes..
I bought another Cd Changer off of Ebay, it was a easy plug and play..but wait ..no play.
No CDC pops up and know no sound.
I was using a FO coupler to use the head unit, and it worked fine. CD, radio Sirrius all worked and sounded good.
I have looked at the fuses listed on these threads, and still nothing.
I do miss the changer..when using my ipod interface, I think the sound suffers.
I don't mind swapping cds in the head unit, but it would be nice to use the cd changer.
whats next?

I'm not an expert by any means, but if you're unable to hear sound, control anything, or see data from the CD changer, could that be an indication that there is a problem with the fiber optic cable connection to the head unit?

agreed..This is a HK system. I can get the head unit to work with a FO coupler I got from the dealer.
Cd player ,radio, Sirius all work well.and sound is excellent . I tried again this morning after checking fuses #20, #36, #26, all the fuses look good.
Put the CDC player back in, and radio powers up but no sound. And I get No CDC on the display.
I can live with just the 1 cd player, but it was nice to have the 6 disc option.
The ipod interface sounds weak to my ears. Any other ideas, short of taking it to the dealer, ill give a try..
many thanks
