Trunk partition mounting


So today I replaced the struts for the trunk partition bit noticed that something seems to be missing in the photo where I have the zip ties. Does anyone know what is suoposed to be there...dowel mayb

This is looking down with the clamshell filling open

Own 2005 CLK500, but drive 2011 Sienna :)
If I’m not mistaken there should be a plastic fastener that locks this hinge in place. Plastic fastener has a clip on its end that secures it in place. Once the clip brakes that fastener simply falling out from this hinge. I guess it’s a zip tie workaround there on the picture.
Currently I have 2 CLK’s - both of them have at leat one broken fastener
