I have not gotten my letter yet. My ML350 was recalled for a bolt and I cannot get it in until March. Basically its worth it. I never use the dealer for anything except recalls and warranty work. I will take advantage of the loaner car, free coffee, wifi and cookies LOL.

Took my car into the dealer and they told me that they are waiting to devise a remedy and then will apply said repair to any car brought in. I believe they said February 22.

Mine seems fine so I'm waiting to see how many people have issues here before dragging myself to the dealer on a Saturday.

that is possible, I thought it was odd that they are not going to inspect it just apply the remedy

Got my letter today. However, they write that the parts are not yet available and to wait for another letter asking me to take it to a dealer.

Received my notice today. Will wait for next notice when dealers have parts or next routine maintenance to check on status on mine. Thanks for bringing to our attention.

Called the dealer to get an update. They said they do not have parts in for a recall yet due to COVID-19. However, they will be sending letters out whenever they can. Luckily I have not been driving it so I am not worried when. That was the latest from my local MB Dealer.

Does anyone know if the dealer has to remove the headliner to perform the inspection/repair? My headliner is starting to sag and I was thinking if I can get a new headliner (or order it from the dealer), they can install it when putting things back together for the recall work and I can avoid the labor cost of that swap.

I currently drive a 2007 Mercedes-Benz CLK 500 Elegance Coupe (C209)
Would this be a worldwide issue, I assume? The article only mentions the U.S.
I am based in South Africa, and I am yet to receive any recall notification on the above matter.
Thanking you, in advance.

Got my appointment on my 2009 CLK for August 10th. Unfortunately my CLK55 is in Florida so I will have to wait until I get down there at some point to do that one. Dealer said it will take a couple days and they will be giving me a loaner.

I was in the dealer two weeks ago to pickup my new key and have it programmed. The service writer told me that the recall for my car was now ready to be completed. I was told to make an appointment to bring the car in and they would need it a full day. He said they would need to "pressurize" the sunroof and if it proved defective, it would be replaced. He said they'd give me a loaner. Now on the show room floor is a nice looking AMG GTS, I wonder if that could be my loaner?.......No? Ah. I didn't think so.

Brought my car into Mercedes Henderson and within 30 minutes of leaving the dealership - they stated my sunroof is not affected as part of the recall. What a waste of time, you figure they’d know by the VIN #
