Does the rear subframe need to come off in order to remove fuel tank?

Own 2005 CLK500, but drive 2011 Sienna :)
Does the rear subframe need to come off in order to remove fuel tank?

I personally don't see any other way to get the filler neck out which is "hardwired" to the tank.
