Potential New CLK500 owner with questions
Ok, I am about to purchase a pre-owed CLK500 03. I currently have a W203 sedan. I have many mods in my W203 (bix, command, AMG brakes, 19" rims...Etcc...) If I am correct I am able to transfer my AMG brakes, rims and commmand over to the CLK500 right? I am trying to not loose too much money on the trade in. Let me know your thoughts.
thanks
thanks

AMG brakes should fit, fine
Rims, if your sig says you have 265 rear and 235 front, and I assume you have 19x8 front and 19x9.5 or 19x10 rear, you should be fine as well.
Not too sure about command, but chances are it will work too.

CLK500 basically has the C32 AMG brakes so no need to really change it. You could probably sell either the CLK or C32 brakes on here.
Bixenons cannot be transferred, FrankW is looking for a pair though.
19 inch rims, probably can be transferred.
Comand, def can be transferred.
Grille can't be transferred and you should give it to me.

The difference between the C32 brakes are one is drilled and one isnt, and one caliper says "Mercedes-Benz" and the other says "AMG". Other than that, they are identically the same. You might want to consider the 6-piston AMG brakes found on the new CLK55. However, if upgrading the brakes will be one of the mods, I would suggest you to go with Brembo BBK all the way.
The wheels and Comand can be swapped.
Bi-xenons cant.

Before you buy that car step back, take a deep breath and think about it for a minute. 2003 was the first year of that car design, depending on the build date it may have been one of the first one's. There were known problems with the first year CLK's, don't get into something you'll regret later. I would definitely research the cars past. Honestly, I'd try to find a 2004 CLK500 instead. I'm not trying to discourage you in any way and I'm happy that your stepping up to a newer/better car, you probably already know about everything I just said but don't screw yourself over a couple thousand bucks.
Enjoy your new car!
