05' CLK 320 CDI - Won't leave D/N after driver
Hi, I have had an intermittent fault that has turned into a permanent fault after changing brake discs/pads, I am only able to get in N from D after a drive, if I turn the car off and start it again i can get into P/R with no issue. When the car is not going to go into P/R after a drive you can tell because the parking sensors won't light up, this leads me to think it could be an issue with the wheel speed sensors?
Cruse control works fine still, I don't know if the car uses the wheel sensors for this?
The front discs/pads were replaced as the ones that were on there were causing judder under breaking.
Thanks in advanced for any input

First try the override button for the shifter. If the lever moves freely with the override button depressed - seach the problem in the locking solenoid and up the scheme. If the levwr doesn’t shift even with the override button depressed - problem with the shifter assembly.

Thanks, i'll try that after work.
Would the fact that the front parking sensors are not coming on at below 15mph point to there being an issue with the speed sensors?

The speedo and cruise are both working fine. The only speed related thing that is not working is the front/rear parking sensor activating when I slow, the do work after initial start though. Brake lights are working too.
