Seat Belt Presenter Problems
2008 CLK350 Coupe.
The seat belt presenter suddenly stopped presenting. It will make a clicking noise, however, the presenter will not extend. Also, when I try to manually pull it out when it is clicking, it wants to pull back in.
It is almost like the function of the presenter is working in reverse. Like the complete polarity has changed. The passenger seat is working fine. Just the driver seat presenter want to (go in) when it is already
fully retracted against the side panel. Any help on what to look for before I start pulling everything apart?

Sounds like the plastic gear is stripped. Mine did that last year, I got a used passenger side motor (more common, less wear) on ebay and pulled the gear from it. Not a bad job, took about two hours total. There are threads on the job. A new motor assembly is crazy expensive as I recall.
