Does your CLK do this?! and some Q's

1. my driver seat goes forward and can be lifted up for entry to the rear, but for the passenger side I can only pull it forward, but cannot lift it.

2. passenger side headrest does not go all the way down, but when you pull it forward for rear entry, it goes down

3. can I add keyless-go to my car? what about trunk closer?

4. what color of tint would you suggest on Pewter car? just black? or like silver tint?

5. anyone has Pewter CLK on Brabus VI in 18's? I don't want to lower the car, would it look okay if I get 18's? 8.5 front/9.5 rear? what size tires?

6. how many of you continue the Teleaid service? do you find it useful at all?

7. what do you guys do when you carry 5 passengers? I bought a pillow so in case there's a 5th person, he/she can sit on the pillow in the middle.

8. do you get a lot of attention driving the CLK? I get looks and turn-heads all the time...

9. where can I find more accessories for W209? been on ebay, formymercedes.com and of course brand tuners...

10. do you like your CLK?

1. yes my passenger side can be lifted up as well..i had a problem with not being able to lift it up, but I think maybe you wait until the head rest goes all the way down, you should be able to lift it up.

2. not sure what you are talking about..my passenger headrest goes all the way down. when i lift passenger seat, it goes down as well.

3. keyless go and trunk closer are options when you buy the car, not sure if you can just add em now.

4. black tint

5. i think you should go with 19s, frisco has a car with monoblock vis, they look great. not suire about tire size for 18s, but 19s..go with 235/35/19 front and 265/30/19 back.

6. i bought my car end of last september, the only time i used the teleaid was to activate it.

7. this car is made for 4 people lol, you get pulled over for sitting 5..if i have 5 people, just take another persons car!

8. sometimes

9. Harris is good, lol I know Harris, havent called you..still cant decide what to get for my car, so many options and so little money! I dont wanna call you, and not know what I really want.

10. yes I like my clk a lot!

I actually had 18" 1 piece Brabus Monoblock VIs, and I now have 19" 3 piece Kleemann TS-6s. I linked a couple pics of my car back with the MB VIs in Tezta's spring thread the other day if you want to see how it looked.

ahh, my passenger side seat is too much in the front, so it doesn't lift up. I adjust it back a little and now it does.

well, the lowest the headrest goes on the passenger side seat is still a couple of inches higher than the lowest the headrest goes on the driver's side. both of them go down when lifting the seats up though...

so black on a pewter car?

so I don't think I'll continue teleaid then...

and thanks AznxKCBoy

Thanks Frisco! I saw the pics.

Do you have any of the whole car from the side? and what size did you have on those 18's? Would it look weird without lowering? Thanks.

1 & 2) The passenger seat can only lift if it is far enough back. We found this out just yesterday on my 05.

3) I don't think so.

4)I saw a really cool dark blue tint (along the lines of the CLK500 but a 20% tint)

5)

6) Teleaid is pretty good but expensive. They tend to drag on a conversation. hopefully, some day they will also form a strategic alliance with a telecommunications company (as OnStar did w/ Verizon) and then offer cell phone-type service through Teleaid. Until then I see it as only offering "half a loaf", not a full one!

7) I suggest don't carry them and use another car.

8) Yes great looking, that's why I got one. Used to have an 01 BMW 530i.

9) Some good listings on this site.

10) So far so good. It's an interesting combination of sportiness with a luxury ride. If you are looking for BMW-type road manners forget it, buy a G-35, but if you want a refined smooth-sleak machine, that really shows its opulance, then it's the perfect choice.

thanks Scovit!

I love my CLK. Some friends of mine are still in the "racing" stage so all they care about is how fast it runs... But you know what? They do know one thing... I get more looks, and girls if I wanted to... than their Supra/Z/whatevers

I'm satisfied with the power, I'm out of racing now... After all that money in the TL and Z... speed is not everything, and it's very dangerous... however, I do care about a smooth, quiet ride that has a lot of neat and convenient features. and CLK is definitely my best choice!

Yang1815...

chicks will just fight themself to sit in the CLK...

No need to do anything, just make sure your door is unlocked.

Why bother for speed? only for kids

I like the new Aston Martin AMV8...

Its a Classic coupe with style and status and power.

In order to lift the passenger seat, you need to go into the settings menu and disable the easy access feature (the one that retracts your steering wheel when you turn off the ignition).

uhhh no you dont, all you have to do is have the passenger seat back enough to be able to lift it. If the passenger seat is too far to the front, you cant lift it all the way up.

yep I have easy entry/exit feature enabled, and I could lift up the passenger seat now. It was just too upfront.

What about that easy entry/exit feature? Mine only moves the steering wheel and not the seat?
